Dear Students, Teachers and Parents,
Warm wishes to all of you on the Foundation Day-2025 of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan.
The extraordinary journey of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, which began in 1963 with just 20 regimental schools, has transformed into a vast network of 1,289 Kendriya Vidyalayas, illuminating the nation with the light of exceptional education.

It’s a matter of great pride and privilege to join as DC Bhopal. Education system in the current situation is undergoing rapid changes in terms of focus areas, options, Indianization, vacational needs and technology. As school leaders, we need to constantly reinvent ourselves to the changing requirements and aspirations of the society. NCF is talking about sweeping changes in Examinations, childhood pedagogy, language skills and vacational skills. There’s a need for us to read deeper into NCF and bring about modifications in KVs wherever required. But as school leaders we need to ensure such changes in a smooth manner. For that we need to take efforts to explain the actual policies and need to our stakeholders such as parents, students and teachers. Getting stakeholders to develop growth mindset from their fixed mindset may be daunting for all of you. But that is the need of the hour. We need to be very clear on what is essential and non essential in our school activities and try and increase the essential activities more. We will build on our strength and bring a bit changes in a few areas that are needed with your enthusiasm and involvement. All students of KVS Bhopal region are dear to us. We need to facilitate their proper learning and ensure their academic achievement and well being within the time frame of their schools days. As said by confucius, “ We have two lives . The second begins when you realize you only have one.“ Looking forward to working with you to serve KVS Bhopal Region well. Warm regards. Dr. R. Senthil Kumar Deputy Commissioner KVS Bhopal Region

Let us think of education as the means of developing our greatest abilities, because in each of us there is a private hope and dream which, fulfilled, can be translated into benefit for everyone and greater strength for our nation - John F. Kennedy. Having been an educator for several years, I keenly support the pivotal, proactive role an educational organization of repute plays in today’s society. If I feel honored to be in charge of a seat of learning that can mould the most significant resource of any nation — young, impressionable human minds – I am also sensitive to the important implications of this enterprise. Keeping the contemporary global and national context in mind, we, at K.V. 1 Gwalior, strive to make the pursuit of excellence a way of life; a habit. Our school is filled with enthusiastic students willing to learn, supportive parents interested in their children's education, and a dedicated professional staff committed to providing the students with a quality education. We provide a balanced environment focused on shaping children into leaders of tomorrow by offering comprehensive education through a developmental approach. The school environment promotes order, independence, a love for learning, a connection to the world and a sense of social responsibility. K.V. 1 Gwalior nurtures the leaders of tomorrow through a unique, well-defined curriculum and a dedicated focus on "learning beyond the classroom." Our website is a window to our vibrant school life. Our vision is to work in partnership with our pupils, parents, and the community at large to create a positive and inclusive environment for high quality learning and teaching where everyone is valued and respected. Students at K.V. 1 GWALIOR are motivated to develop leadership skills and a thorough understanding of interdependence. Special emphasis is placed on the need to serve others while actively contributing to the school community and society as a whole. In the past one year our strength has doubled and this enables us to know that we are empowered by the unwavering trust that parents have in this institution, and in this knowledge lies our strength and inspiration. We encourage each child to give their very best in an attempt to realize their dreams. We look forward for seeing you in the campus!
